Alicia and Jason decided to have their engagement photoshoot at Elvaston Castle in Derby, which is always a popular location. For good reason. Elvaston offers such a lovely variety of locations for photographs.
I actually just shot the new Mr and Mrs Elberts’ wedding this weekend, and I can’t wait to share the story of their big day with you and all their photographs. But six or seven weeks ago we met up for their pre-wedding shoot.
Jason and Alicia met at uni, and for Jason it was love at
first second sight. But it took Alicia a little while longer to realise that he was the man of her dreams!
Jason is pretty talented with a camera in his hand too; but he prefers the video setting. His Derby-based video production company is called Jet Productions and he specialises in creating entertaining and innovative corporate videos.
It’s fair to say that Alicia is in my camp when it comes to photography – she would much rather the camera was pointed at someone else! But that’s one of the reasons I always like to include an engagement photoshoot with my wedding collections as it’s an opportunity to learn to relax in front of the lens. Jason had no problems in this area. He was like an English Zoolander…
Their Rosliston Forestry Centre wedding will be up on the blog in a few weeks, but in the meantime make sure you take a look at their engagement photos below!
