Kilts and Castles go together like summer weddings and heavy rain showers, and we were lucky to have all four this weekend! It did rain a little bit during the morning, but if you’re going to be stuck inside anywhere on your wedding day, then there are far worse (and less picturesque) places than Belvoir Castle┬áin Leicestershire, the ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland for a mere one thousand years.
I didn’t spot either of the home-owners, but I did get to spend an amazing day with the new Mr and Mrs Herd! Belvoir apparently means “beautiful” in French, and that was certainly fitting for the bride. Emma looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous dress. Nick, her new husband, was looking rather dapper himself – making the most of his Scottish heritage to don a kilt and all the trimmings!

Here’s a very brief sneak peek at a few of the photos from Saturday. The rest will be available to view soon, but if you’d like to be kept up-to-date, then feel free to subscribe to my free email newsletter.

Congratulations again to Emma and Nick!
