I think this one probably speaks for itself! It’s one of those situations where a picture really does speak a thousand words. This was a secret moment captured minutes after Jo and Matt became husband and wife.
We were at St Wystan’s Church in Repton, Derbyshire for Jo and Matt’s big day. I was at the front of the church and the new Mr and Mrs Taylor-Dawes had just returned from the altar. Everyone else in church was singing a hymn – and one of the things I love about this photo is that no-one else is looking this way; it makes the image much more intimate. Jo and Matt spotted me and decided to strike a spontaneous pose! The delight on their faces is pretty infectious, and completely real.
It’s moments like these that make my role as a wedding photographer so rewarding.
