The Carriage Hall Plumtree Wedding: Jade & Ross

“We can’t thank Jon enough for making us feel so at ease! He was like an extra friend at the wedding! The photos he captured were amazing and show the real story of the day!”

— Jade & Ross

Jade and Ross met back in 2010 at Oceana in Nottingham, and although they played it cool with each other at first, it became clear that they were simply meant to be. The next few years were filled with a lot of laughter, and their families grew close too – to the point where, in 2014, it seemed only natural to Ross to ask Jade to marry him. He duly got down on one knee on the balcony during their Turkish holiday, much to Jade’s confusion! She initially had no idea what he was doing down there, and told him to get up! Fortunately, Ross ignored her, made his proposal, and set the wheels in motion for a beautiful wedding at The Carriage Hall, Plumtree.

“We wanted our wedding to be a party for all our friends and family, and it did not disappoint!” Jade remembers. “The morning was just full of fun and laughter!”

Certainly, when I arrived on the wedding morning, the bubbles were already flowing and everyone was relaxed and having a great time. Hair and makeup was well underway. Jade had booked Hayley from Mint Hair Boutique for hair and makeup styling, and was very pleased with their service.

Jade and the bridesmaids all looked stunning in their dresses. The bride’s gown was designed by Essence – an Australian bridal gown design company – supplied by La Belle Boutique in Sutton in Ashfield, and looked absolutely beautiful. Jade sourced her bridesmaids dresses from Ax Paris. The bouquets arrived, beautifully crafted by Eve Lilly, who also dressed the venue.

Meanwhile, Ross and the boys had met up at their local, looking dapper in their Ted Baker suits supplied by Moss Bros. They just had time for a little dutch courage before making their way to church, ahead of Jade and her bridesmaids. Jade travelled in style in a classic Bentley from Lenton Limousines.

The service at St Wilfred’s Church was beautiful, and Jade and Ross became husband and wife in front of all their friends and family, plus a random cat who wandered into church and up the aisle for a closer look at the action!

On to The Carriage Hall, which is a fantastic venue for a Nottingham wedding. The evening entertainment was provided by The Burgundys; a band who I have worked with on numerous occasions and who never fail to fill the dancefloor. They didn’t disappoint this time either, and despite it being a lovely warm evening, the carriage hall was full of people enjoying the music and dancing the night away. The stunning pink and, white and silver three-tiered cake was created by Can’t Resist Cakes – and did indeed look irresistible!

The real stars of the day though were certainly Jade and Ross. A brilliant, funny, warm and caring couple who are clearly made for each other. Jade was so happy to be marrying Ross, who couldn’t have looked prouder to walk back down the aisle with the love of his life by his side. It was great to be a part of their wedding day, and I just know that they’re going to be creating many more happy memories for years to come!
