A Fun Barn Wedding At Swancar Farm In Nottinghamshire – Shaunie & Chris

Shaunie and Chris got married at the gorgeous Swarncar Farm, Nottinghamshire, in spring. It was an awesome fun-filled wedding, with owls, trucks and a splash of magic.
The couple met at another wedding and have been together for more than 7 years. They are such a lovely couple. who are clearly completely devoted to each other. Chris proposed in possibly the most romantic place on Earth – Paris, followed by a meal at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant!
The Morning
Shaunie got ready at the venue with her mum and her bridesmaids, and there was such an exciting vibe to the morning. She wore a Mark Lesley gown from Fifi Bridal, which suited her perfectly. She then walked the short distance downstairs to get to the ceremony.
Chris got ready at home and then arrived in his truck, obviously! How else do you travel to your wedding when you drive a lorry for a living?
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Swancar Farm in the upper barn. The ceremony area was decorated simply, with beautiful flowers on the row ends, and petals scattered along the aisle, which was just stunning. The ceremony began in the usual fashion, until it came to exchanging the rings. With a look of horror, Chris’ best man realised that he didn’t have the rings! Never fear though, as a handy owl was on standby at the back of the room to deliver them! This was a complete surprise to Chris, and the look on his face was priceless!
The Afternoon
After the ceremony, the couple mingled with their guests, which was the perfect time for me to get some candid photos. Then the falconers brought some more birds out for the guests to hold, which was a great idea. On top of that, the fantastic Matthew Ramsell magician also arrived and began to wow the guests with unbelievable tricks.
The rest of the day was just as much fun, with excellent entertainment provided by GC Events.
