Alison & Sam’s Goosedale Wedding: A Day to Remember

Goosedale Wedding Photography

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Alison and Sam’s unforgettable wedding at the stunning Goosedale in Nottingham. Goosedale, nestled in over 100 acres of breathtaking landscapes, offered the perfect setting for their rustic, garden-themed celebration. I caught up with them a few weeks after the wedding to ask for their reflections on the day itself and the planning that led up to it. Unsurprisingly, they described their Goosedale wedding as “the best day of our lives!”

A Morning of Excitement and Anticipation

Arriving at Oasis Christian Centre in Long Eaton, I found Sam and his groomsmen eagerly awaiting the bride’s arrival. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as I captured their camaraderie and nervous anticipation. Sam recalled feeling “an overwhelming sense of excitement and being stunned by the sight of my bride!” as he saw Alison walking down the aisle towards him. Alison, on the other hand, was brimming with happiness, saying, “I couldn’t stop smiling and nervous laughing!”

A Goosedale Wedding Reception Filled with Love and Laughter

Following the beautiful ceremony, I managed to get myself absolutely covered in confetti once again and we took a few group photos outside of the church. Then the newlyweds and their guests made their way to Goosedale for the reception. Goosedale had provided their Rolls Royce with a driver to transport Alison and Sam. The venue’s beautiful gardens provided an idyllic backdrop for photographs and outdoor games, reflecting the couple’s love for nature. They had planned the wedding together, with some help from family members, and their combined efforts resulted in a delightful afternoon tea, heartfelt speeches, and then cutting the cake and first dance before the arrival of their evening guests.

When Alison and Sam first saw their wedding photos, they were overcome with emotion, saying, “We cried! We couldn’t believe how beautiful the photos were and how natural they were. We love them.”

The Unforgettable Moments of a Goosedale Wedding

For Alison and Sam, the day was filled with unforgettable moments, but what stood out the most was “a constant feeling of love from our closest friends and family.” They cherished every smile and warm embrace, which truly made their day unforgettable.

When asked about their advice for other couples planning their wedding, Alison and Sam emphasized the importance of focusing on what truly matters: “Focus on the most important thing, you are marrying the love of your life!”

One of my favourite photos from the day was a sunset shot, complemented by textured clouds and Alison and Sam sharing a kiss under the rotunda. I used a single speedlight on a stand to the left of the couple, with a honeycomb grid to contain and soften the light a little.

A Lifetime of Happiness Ahead

Alison and Sam’s wedding was a testament to their love and connection, which has only grown stronger since tying the knot. They shared that the best part about being married is “that we are closer than we have ever been. We feel more connected to each other now, more than ever.”

I am truly honoured to have been a part of Alison and Sam’s special day at Goosedale. Their love story is inspiring, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
