“The photos brought back all the memories from the day and reminded us how special it was. They captured the emotion and fun of the day perfectly. We particularly liked the relaxed photos capturing people in the moment.”
When your Dad is a farmer in Derbyshire, how else would you travel to your wedding but in a Massey Ferguson 5470 tractor? That’s how Daniel arrived at Callow Hall, near Ashbourne, on a beautiful August day: possibly the only man on that particular Sunday to be riding in a tractor whilst dressed in a dinner jacket and bow tie.
Sarah, for some reason, decided to eschew the agricultural vehicle in favour of a Bentley. Each to their own.
What followed was the culmination of around 12 months of planning: a classic, relaxed wedding with all of Sarah and Daniel’s favourite people! Sarah wore a stunning Ronald Joyce gown, which looked like it had been made just for her and complemented the style of their venue perfectly.
Sarah’s Wedding Planning Tips:
Also, there are a lot of things you don’t need. Don’t buy lots of expensive things you will not remember after the day. It’s more about being with the people there. [/box]
The day went perfectly, from start to finish. Sarah and Daniel had opted for an outdoor ceremony, and the sun duly shone for them; there wasn’t a cloud in the sky! Later, Callow provided an ideal mix of outdoor space, as some people chose to sit outside in the shade to enjoy a drink, whilst many of the boys headed for a civilised(ish) game of croquet. The speeches were certainly a highlight, with ear defenders being provided for Sarah ahead of the best men’s speech!
I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story, but I’d like to wish Sarah and Daniel a lifetime of happiness together. Thanks again for letting me share in your big day!
Sarah got ready at her parents’ house, as the sun shone in a beautiful blue sky. Incredibly, she created her own bouquets!
Sarah’s Ronald Joyce gown was supplied by Gracie Bleu in Buxton.
Sarah’s hair was styled by Andre De Villiers, Sheffield.
It’s always a special moment for me when a father sees his daughter as a bride for the first time!
Callow Hall is a beautiful 16-bedroom country house close to Ashbourne in Derbyshire, and was the ideal venue for Sarah & Daniel’s Derbyshire wedding.
Daniel’s father is a recently retired farmer – hence his choice of a tractor as the wedding car!
Sarah and Daniel had absolutely perfect weather for their outdoor ceremony at Callow Hall, Ashbourne.
This is one of my favourite ‘posed’ shots from the day – even though I told Sarah and Daniel where to stand, the moment in this shot is entirely down to them!
