Derby Engagement Shoot | Kay and Luke at Darley Park
Today’s Derby engagement shoot at Darley Park features the brilliant Kayleigh and Luke.
There’s simply nothing better than finally finding that special person who completes your world; the person who you know you would do anything for, and who would do anything for you; the person who you could share a lifetime supply of DoughNotts with, washed down with… rum?
Well, that’s the feeling Kay and Luke shared after only their second date! Well, by the sounds of it they were both pretty much head-over-heels by the end of their first date, but neither one would quite admit it to themselves. Nevertheless, their futures were already intertwined, and within just a few months Luke was plotting a proposal!
I’ll let Luke tell the story from his point of view…
“We were in Budapest, and I had spent the whole day nervously looking for the right spot to propose, but it never came. There were always too many people about, or it wasn’t the spot I had in mind.
We were exploring a landmark called the Fisherman’s Bastion and I snuck Kay through a small door and up to our own private spot. This was perfect, unplanned and in the moment. I tried to get Kay to explore whilst I fumbled for the ring and prepared myself, as I hoped she would come back to find me on one knee, but she wouldn’t leave my side! So instead, I embraced her and began into my nervous and tearful speech. At this point, I remember another couple finding the spot which threw me off slightly, but nothing was going to ruin this moment. I was halfway through my speech and down on one knee with Kay like a magpie wanting me to put the ring on, so she could say yes!”
I loved hearing this story first hand during their engagement shoot down at Darley Park, and their plans to travel, explore new restaurants and eventually start a family. Now they’ve found each other, I have a feeling that they’re going to have a lifetime of fun, DoughNotts and rum!
