Hoar Cross Hall Wedding Photography: Paige & Tom

“Our photos are truly beautiful. We wanted creative photos that we could hang in our home together, and that’s exactly what we have!”

Paige and Tom met at school when they were just 15! So you might have thought that they could wait just a few more months to become husband and wife… Nope! After initially booking their wedding at Hoar Cross Hall for 2017, the pair decided that they couldn’t wait that long and brought the day forward, leaving a mere four months to plan their wedding!

A common theme ran through the day – so many of the people involved in bringing the day together were friends of Paige and Tom. From the makeup artist at Avoca Spa in the morning, to the vicar who returned to St Paul’s Church in Burton especially to conduct the ceremony, to the beautiful cake which was made by Bethany – a friend from university – to the cars which were supplied by Paige’s dad’s business, to the beautiful bouquets and table pieces which were made by Paige’s mum! The personal touch had been applied to virtually every aspect of the wedding, and I know that Paige and Tom both appreciated every little detail that had been supplied with love and care.

The ceremony at St Paul’s was beautiful, and extra special because of Paige’s connection with the church and its former minister, Paul, who conducted the marriage ceremony. His daughter, Laura, was actually Paige’s maid of honour – and memories of the two of them baking brownies made its way into the sermon!

Then, after photos and confetti, it was off to the beautiful Hoar Cross Hall Hotel in Staffordshire. The Hall itself is stunning, and the weather was doing its bit to make the whole day just perfect. After a lovely meal and some emotional speeches, we took the opportunity to make the most of the grounds and some of the rooms for some portraits of the new Mr and Mrs Spence!

I asked Paige for some of her thoughts about planning her wedding at Hoar Cross Hall, and married life!

Can you describe your wedding in a single sentence?

It was a magical, long-awaited day!

What do you remember most about your wedding ceremony?

It went by in a blur! I can hardly remember walking down the aisle, but I do remember seeing Tom waiting for me at the end, and getting to him was the best bit!

Any particular tips you’d like to share?

Just try not to stress too much really! I tried not to worry about everything matching and being perfect. As long as you keep it comfortable and relaxed, everyone will love it and have a great time. The kids’ activity packs for during the wedding breakfast went down well too.

The best bit of advice you could offer to anyone planning their wedding is…

Get a great photographer! The photos will be with you forever, and so you want them to be great – which ours are!

Aww, thanks! How did you feel when you saw your photos?

They are truly beautiful. As an Art graduate myself, I wanted creative photos that we could display around our house. And that’s what we’ve got! I’ll treasure them.

And finally, what’s the best bit about being married?

Waking up to my best friend, every day.
