Rachel and Sam’s Mapperley Farm wedding in Derbyshire was a relaxed rural affair, with a touch of Americana!

Since Sam proposed to Rachel by a lake in Austin, Texas the day after the Grand Prix, it was only right that a flavour of the USA was felt through their wedding day at Mapperley Farm in Derbyshire. But the thing that they were looking forward to the most was simply celebrating the start of their marriage with their nearest and dearest – and they managed that in style! Oh, and did I mention that Elvis dropped by to say hello too?

You see, this is definitely one of my favourite things about shooting weddings! I know it’s a cliche, but every one of them is different. I’ve never had Elvis perform the song for a couple’s first dance before – but it was brilliant! Sam and Rachel planned a creative, colourful and fun wedding day for everyone.
