Wedding Photographer Derbyshire | A Photo A Day | Day Eight

I’ve challenged myself to post a photo a day for the next year, (maybe beyond) and explain the story behind it, and why I love it. Today’s featured image is from Emily and Jay’s wedding ceremony at Rosliston Forestry Centre near Derby.

When you can share a stolen moment alone, whilst simultaneously standing in front of dozens of your closest family and friends, then I think you know you’ve found the one.

This moment was captured during Emily and Jay’s beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at Rosliston Forestry Centre, whilst one of their friends was performing a reading. I’m always on the lookout for these reactions because they are precious fleeting moments that can bring back so many emotions when viewed again later. Emily might correct me, but to me her expression says. “We’re finally here, and there’s nowhere else I’d want to be, and no-one else I’d want to be with!” We don’t always have to have huge displays of emotion to convey powerful feelings. Sometimes a look and a half-smile can say everything you need it to. Although Anna would probably argue that I’ve become less well versed in reading her ‘looks’ these days!
